Deluge of Valentines Day Quotes and Photos. Happy Valentines Day!!

"Love Is A Passion Which Kindles Honor Into Noble Acts"
John Dryden

"A man's kiss is his signature." ~Mae West
"Each kiss a heart-quake..." ~Lord Byron, Don Juan
"Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not
giving the kiss the attention it deserves." ~Albert Einstein
Some things some will do for a kiss. I've seen this one.
"Kisses are like tears, the only real ones are the ones you can't hold back." ~Author Unknown

"Everybody winds up kissing the wrong person goodnight."
Andy Warhol

One of my favorites, but my absolute favorite kiss of all time on film is the kiss in "First Knight" yikes!!! When Richard Gere(fanning myself) grabs the female lead, he looks like he just swallowed her whole. The most anticipated kiss ever.
This quote is for the first boy I kissed..... so awkward hahaha.

"How far away the stars seem, and how far is our first kiss, and ah, how
old my heart."
William Butler Yeats

To me this day is about the Valentine that came into my life on Valentines Day in 1979. He is my firstborn son. Happy Birthday Stephen Ross Burrel Cox!

Another pre Valentines Day quote.

This amazing photo reminds me of Oscar Wilde somehow. To me he was one of the most captivating men and writers of all time.

A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when
words become superfluous. ~Ingrid Bergman

Favorite Things.

Just having a blog where you can indulge in talking about your favorite design, color, art and creating is more than enough fun, but I thought I'd post some of my other favorite things too. In every profile, when asked to state my favorite things, it's always chandeliers and lemon tarts. Can't really explain it more than the obvious awesomeness of both. Here are some faves gone by.

Happy Saturday! Mish if you and Gary have any lemon tart pics I would like to see them...

You Must Give This A Listen

"Where You At"
I know I don't usually post about music, but this girl has a God given voice and she sings the -----out of this song. I haven't heard anything this intense since Etta James did "I'd Rather Go Blind" yikes. hope you like it. You gotta just stand up and clap because her guts are in it. I like guts. Guts move me.

Stopped in my tracks by props in a wallpaper display. Yikes!

First, in the interest of Valentines Day coming up and me ......hopeless romantic, I offer a couple of images of some of the best kisses filmed in my opinion.
or Oscar saw it this way.. “A kiss may ruin a human life.”

Oscar Wilde

From the wallpaper group Eskayel comes photos for their new line of papers which are beautiful, but completely upstaged by these heart stopping chairs.
Is it just me or are they the only thing in these photos that seem to matter?
This just knocks me off my feet! I am completely in love with this chair. If anyone out there knows anything about it , please let me know here. I want to dance with this chair lol.

They are so cocoon like. I love the white and simplicity of this one too!
I want them all!!!

Am going to continue my indulgent Valentine's Day photos daily till the 14th.
Stay tuned haha!
Hope you all have a peaceful, relaxing weekend.

Gorgeous white interior and the sun is shining here on the Westcoast.

Everything is just more beautiful when the sun is shining. All the aches go away and the heart is filled with hope. That sounds profound. haha, just daydreaming outloud. I'm more in love with white interiors than ever. Here is one that's crisp but still textural. Would love to have a latte here.
I finished recovering all my books (and I have quite a few) with white bookcovers. I know it's a little drastic, but the room is too small for the visual chaos. I wanted the color to be in artwork and cushions.
......plus just love white.
So does grandson and autographed my white Alfred Sung cushions in peanut butter, so a little light brown works with it too!

Some pretty and enchanting scenes

How amazing it would be to see this in person, strolling down these ancient streets.

........so pretty

This is such a great overall view. Italy is full of genius.
Have a wonderful weekend.

These are from an art installation in Milan. All I can say is,"Only in Italy."
